More than 1000 euros for the Kolping Education Center in Bayreuth

DESKO donates proceeds from basketball challenge

"Shooting hoops for a good cause"

Under this motto, more than 200 hits were scored during a sportive basketball charity event in the context of the open day for police and authorities. Each hit was rewarded by DESKO with five euros. Thus with active support of the professionals of the BBC Bayreuth within shortest time a great sum of 1120 euros was achieved. With this amount DESKO wants to support the work of the Kolping Education Center for the Ukrainian refugees in Bayreuth.

The Kolping Education Center is particularly committed to the integration of Ukrainian refugees. Support in learning the German language plays a central role in this. "The donation will therefore directly benefit the language support and individual counseling of Ukrainian refugees," emphasized the head of the education center, Viola Rauser. The Kolping Education Center offers special language courses in this context. The donation from the previous year was also used for this purpose.
